I miss home...

I miss the UK right now. I miss talking to my best friend whilst she drives home from work. I miss the British countryside. I miss my old career and working in the NHS, in one of the biggest and most efficient hospitals in the UK. I miss the British nurses uniform. I miss people rooting for the underdog. I miss sarcasm. I miss Tesco. I miss driving on the left. I miss driving a manual car. I miss roads full of people who know how to drive progressively and courteously.  I miss decent bacon. I miss my family(?!). I miss roundabouts. I miss intelligent and articulate dinner conversation. I miss people playing devils advocate. I miss the British pound. I miss the history. I miss the integrity. I miss the lack of sensationalism and drama. I miss the accents and dialects. I miss familiarity. I miss being able to just drive home for the weekend. I miss Europe, Easyjet and Ryanair. I miss fields full of Sheep. I miss daffodils. I miss the architecture. I miss Manchester. I miss the smell of Dove deodorant. I miss my accent not standing out. I miss British pubs. I miss European Trance events. I miss Police that don't carry guns. I miss Crunchy Nut Cornflakes. I miss Red Pillar boxes. I miss allotments and vegetable patches. I miss the comedy, I really really miss the comedy. I miss the green. I miss J2O and Appletise. I miss mobile phones, pavements and petrol NOT cell phones, side walks and gas. I miss familiarity. I miss home.
